A piece of advice please?

I really love to paint with watercolour. So I bought a really nice, black book with watercolour papers in it. My idea was to paint nice things that I see in my every day life in that book, and keep it like a memory picture book.

The problem is this: Now, I can't throw away the paper if the painting doesn't turn out good enough. And that knowledge makes it very hard to get started. I don't know what to paint, because if it is to difficult, I might fail. And I really really want the first painting to look good.

Not a very serious problem, I know. But does anyone have an idea about something nice and easy to paint?
